Dustin, our fearless leader opened Studio Phi 2014 with the hopes of creating a clean and inviting space for tattoos, piercing and cosmetic tattoos.

I WAS BORN AND RAISED IN CALGARY AB. I’VE BEEN MAKING ART PRETTY MUCH MY ENTIRE LIFE AND IN HIGH SCHOOL GOT INTO GRAFFITI ART, WHICH A FEW YEARS LATER LAUNCHED MY JOURNEY INTO TATTOOING. I STARTED DRAWING TATTOOS FOR PEOPLE IN HIGH SCHOOL WHICH SPARKED THE INTEREST IN TATTOOING, AND BY 2004 WAS PROFESSIONALLY TATTOOING AND OPENED MY OWN LITTLE STUDIO. I LOVE DESIGNING GEOMETRIC TATTOOS, LARGE SCALE JAPANESE AND ART NOUVEAU. BOLD COLOUR AND GRAFFITI GREATLY INFLUENCE MY STYLE AS WELL.

I opened IGX Tattoos in 2004, which enabled me to work with and mentor some awesome fellow tattoo artists. I moved the studio in 2006 and rebranded the shop as Sacred Balance, to better suit the growing style and philosophy of the studio. In 2014 it was time for another change and a new location which is where Studio Phi was created.
